To b fair, the dogs here r definately not seen as pets, but as an useful animal!
And also if u first think they treat the dogs in a bad way, think about how we treat pigs or cows....
Actually the dogs are chained outdoors, but they have to pull a sleigh at least 2 times a week - otherwise they would forget the orders :o)
Regarding that quite a lot of people I know have their dogs chained or caged without taking them 4 a walk that often (sheila), the Greenlandic dogs' live could b worse.....

this dog was a bit injured and all his mates helped him....
well... not all of them! Sum preferred chewing on my glove.... oh joy!!!
